Taylor Chapters

Independent Media Brand

Taylor Chapters is a multimedia journalism and communications outlet designed to serve as a storytelling bridge between American and Hispanic culture.

Taylor Miller, founder of Taylor Chapters, is a former journalist who started her career telling stories for communities and later corporations. Growing up in Houston, she was always immersed in her Texas culture while also being surrounded by Hispanic culture.

Through each chapter of her life, the Hispanic culture kept drawing her in to the point that she became fluent in Spanish, moved to Spain and later returned to the U.S. and eventually got engaged to a Peruvian digital marketing entrepreneur, Manuel. They travel to Peru and South America often and share their adventures, from small everyday moments to bigger conversations about cultural differences and points of common ground.

Taylor Chapters is building a strong digital community, generating over 200,000 monthly viewers and readers across articles posted to the website, to long format YouTube videos, to short format videos posted across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Threads. The audience continues to grow over time and is made up primarily of people in the United States, followed by the UK, Europe, Peru, and South America. Regardless of background, the community values travel and culture content.

Taylor Chapters promotes exploration and curiosity: grounded, but open to places unseen. From funny moments to delicious culinary finds to destination guides, cultural commentary, and bilingual storytelling, Taylor Chapters invites English and Spanish speakers to break digital bread together in the name of adventure.

Taylor Miller

Founder and Content Creator

Taylor Miller is a former multimedia journalist who obtained her journalism degree with a minor in Spanish from Park University in 2017. Born and raised in Texas, she had strong roots, but was always drawn to Hispanic culture, and even moved to Spain for two years to become fluent after graduating college.

She returned to the U.S. and kicked off her career as a multimedia journalist in Tyler, Texas. She partnered with the Editor of the Tyler Paper to start the newspaper’s first ever Tyler Paper Spanish edition during COVID. Getting the news out to the local community in both languages was critical, and she was able to make it possible by broadcasting news messages for their social media accounts in Spanish as well as writing and translating articles between Spanish and English.

Later, she received a job offer to work in Miami and she took it. In South Florida, she began working inside of corporations to tell visual and written stories to achieve business objectives and created cohesive communications strategies with an omnichannel approach. Meanwhile, in her personal life she met and later got engaged to a Peruvian named Manuel. Together, they began traveling to Peru and South America frequently.

As she documented her adventures through written and video content, Taylor Chapters was born. Today, she is building an online community that bonds over the intersection of North and South American culture and the beauty of cultural differences through travel experiences and day to day life between cultures.
